National Scrapbook Day is the first Saturday in May which happens to be this Saturday. It is a day where people all over the Country gather and celebrate with Scrapbooking parties to share their talents and techniques with other. It is also a time for SALES!
It was started back in 1994 by a Scrapbook company called Creative Memories and has been celebrated every year. But how did scrapbooking originate? Back in the 15th century, people used an album called a commonplace book where they gathered sonnets, recipes and and correspondence. The friendship album came in the 16th century and photographs started to be added to these books after 1826.
